this day's thought: Amazon Energy

Posted by: TeamATOMiK on 02/07/2009 03:12 AM (Read: 449)
One of my favorite companies is Sambazon. I ate their smoothie packs, drink their juices, and have enjoyed their Rio Energy Drink. In fact Rio Energy Drink is one of the best tasting energy drinks I have had. Well Sambazon has now come out with a true energy drink, Amazon Energy Drink. Amazon Energy is more like a traditional energy drink coming in a thin, tall 12 ounce can and being a sparkling beverage. Of course unlike most energy drinks, Amazon Energy is all natural, healthy, and made from organic energy drinks. Like other Sambazon products Amazon Energy is made from the acai berry, a fruit known to be super rich in antioxidants. The can also features the classic Sambazon logo with the stylized Amazon warrior. It's a nice looking can with the purple color and dynamic diagonal lines. I love acai and I can't wait any longer so I'm ripping into this can and tasting it.

Amazon Energy hits your palette with a completely new flavor. It has the classic acai flavor of rich berry, but its zingy coming in a carbonated form. The flavor has been spruced up with some hearty tanginess from the sharp acerola fruit (another superfruit known to be bountiful with Vitamin C). Amazon Energy has a rich umami style flavor and gets sweeter as you drink it. As you get halfway through the can, Amazon Energy really hits its stride. The acai berry comes through with a little bit of sparkling green tea and some earthy yerba mate rounding out the flavor. The sweetness remains sublimely subdued and the sourness is integrated extremely well into the flavor. The end result is that you get a really spirited fruity and earthy acai carbonated beverage. Considering that Amazon Energy is one of the healthiest energy drinks out there it's a really good product.

I have to say that I didn't expect that much from Amazon Energy in the energy kick area. When reviewing an organic product I always expect a slightly lower buzz since they can't throw in a laundry list of ingredients. Having said that Amazon Energy does really well. The buzz is powered by the yerba mate, green tea, and guarana. That leaves you with 120 mg of caffeine per can and is enough to give you a solid burst of energy. I have now tried Amazon Energy on three separate occasions and found it to work well at all times of day. I love drinking it in the morning since it gives you the perfect amount of caffeine to get your day going and doesn't overload you with sugar or calories. Speaking of which, each can of Amazon Energy has only120 calories and 28.5 mg sugar. In addition to the 120 mg of caffeine, Sambazon Amazon Energy also has 1125% of your RDA for Vitamin C. Throw in the antioxidants of acai, yerba mate, and green tea and you have an exceptionally potent free radical fighter for a drink. The full list of ingredients is evaporated cane juice, acai juice, acerola juice, guarana, guayaki yerba mate, steaz organic green tea extract. Not only is the ingredient list organic and all natural, but it's top quality as well using name brands for the yerba mate and green tea sourcing. If you are looking for the healthiest energy drink out there, then I think Sambazon Amazon Energy is your choice.

this day's thought: OFAD the new Viagra?

Posted by: TeamATOMiK on 01/25/2009 11:10 AM (Read: 459)
We are not that dumb. We know that OFAD is not a pill. We know that OFAD is a really, really, bad abbreviation. We even know that odyssey has been misspelled. We just don't care! Why?, because OFAD is a labor of love. As in; "I love coming in you or on you."

Posted by: TeamATOMiK on 11/02/2008 12:39 PM (Read: 921)
Remember BBS message boards that only supported as many users as it had 14.4kbps modems for? Remember the days of AOL for DOS and eventually AOL with internet access? Remember unrestricted, unedited, live online chat designed for adults? Well, it's back and now it has it's own 3D world... From here till *Utherverse* cum!

I don't know why I awoke this morning with such thoughts in my head. Maybe it is because this is a sunday morning and i live near a church. As you all know, i am not one for religion, but i'll take a dirty young hottie, in uniform, any given sunday.

Everything that has come to pass, shall come to pass again, and again, and again. Something to think about on a day like the day after Pearl Harbor Day (12/07).
